CHS Distinguished Alumni Nominations

The strengthening of a network of alumni accelerates opportunities to enhance the collective impact on our entire Cedarburg School District family. Two years ago at the Cedarburg High School graduation, we launched the "Distinguished Alumni" Recognition Award, honoring a Distinguished Alumni as part of the ceremony.

Our first recipient in 2019 was the late Dr. Kenneth H. “Nicky” Oberheu, heart surgeon and founder of the CHS Golden Bulldogs Alumni Association, and the 2020 recipient was Paul Clement, former Solicitor General of the United States. In recognizing an alumnus or alumna each year, the intent of the Distinguished Alumni Recognition Award is to establish a tradition that honors CHS graduates who have gone on to distinguished careers and service in various fields making major contributions; achieving noteworthy accomplishments that separate themselves from others. These two CHS graduates have certainly done just that.

The Distinguished Alumni Award recipient will be our guest at graduation invited to speak with our graduates about how the CHS experience contributed to their distinguished career. The focus of the recognition is on outstanding professional achievement, commitment to service, and strength of character. In addition, the recipient will have a place on our new CHS Wall of Distinction (WoD), demonstrating to all high school students and community members the caliber of students produced by the Cedarburg School District who have had a humble impact on the world.
