Cedarburg Wraps Up Homecoming Week 2017

Homecoming is always a fun and special time in Cedarburg—and this October was no exception.

Unfortunately, the Bulldogs football team didn’t come away with a win against Nicolet on Friday night, but that didn’t take away from what was a truly incredible week. Events included a pep rally, our annual community parade and the Bulldog Blitz cookout.

We would like to send out a sincere thank you to all the alumni and friends who attended the game and took part in homecoming festivities this year. It was yet another example of what makes Cedarburg such a wonderful place to live, work and attend school.

What else is going on in Cedarburg schools?

We have a few pieces of news to share with you:

Cedarburg High School notched the top composite score in Wisconsin on the ACT exam last school year. The school had an average score of 25.19, with 292 students taking the exam. CHS also had the best composite scores in reading, English, science and STEM. It was in the top 10 in the state in math and writing.

The incredible ACT scores students scored is a reflection of the high-quality instruction CHS delivers. Cedarburg High School was recently ranked as the #1 High School in Wisconsin by  SchoolDigger.com ! School Digger is an online source that ranks schools based on test scores supplied by each state's Department of Education. The source calculates an Average Standard Score by normalizing and averaging each school's test scores across all tests and grades.

Congrats to the students and entire Cedarburg School District staff for this well-earned recognition!

There's always something exciting happening here in Cedarburg. We also invite you to visit our district calendar and check out our upcoming events. We hope to see you again soon!
