Is there anything quite like fall in Cedarburg? There’s an energy to southeast Wisconsin this time of year as the leaves begin to change, the air gets a little cooler and students head back to school at Parkview, Thorson, Westlawn, Webster and Cedarburg High School.
As we start a new school year, we have much to be proud of in the Cedarburg School District. Recently, Niche ranked us as number three in its list of top school districts in the state of Wisconsin, including the number two district with the best teachers and the third-best when it comes to student and staff safety.
The Bulldog Classic will take place for the second straight year at The Bog in Saukville on October 7. This fun golf outing raises money for Cedarburg High School athletics. Even if you can't make it to the event itself, you can still spread the word with your friends and family and/or via social media. It’s a great way to support our local student-athletes!
In other notable news, this is the second school year in which the Cedarburg School District is offering four-year-old kindergarten. Research shows students who participate in 4K programs perform better than their peers once they reach the elementary, middle and high school levels. It also gives them an opportunity to develop key language and cognitive skills at a young age.
Our 4K program is now hosted at all three of our elementary schools.
